The HTA MH370 Matte Black Nose Landing Gear Assembly is a complete Boeing 777 nose landing gear shock strut, torque link, axle, and associated structural components in certified-unserviceable condition sourced from a decommissioned 777-200ER, representing the most accessible and displayable of the three major landing gear assemblies on the 777 in terms of overall dimensions while still conveying the engineering sophistication of a commercial aviation primary landing gear system designed to absorb the landing loads of an aircraft with a maximum landing weight exceeding 200,000 kilograms. The oleo-pneumatic nose gear shock strut measures approximately 1.6 meters in the extended position with the two-wheel axle beam at the base and the upper cylinder housing and steering collar assembly at the top, fabricated from high-strength steel and titanium alloys with chrome-plated wear surfaces on the inner cylinder piston stroke area. The torque link scissors assembly connecting upper and lower cylinders prevents rotation while allowing vertical travel and is intact and functional through its full range of articulation. Both nose gear wheels are present and the axle dimensions demonstrate the 777 nose gear wheel and tire specification to scale.
