The HTA MH370 Gold Edition Flight Management Computer Unit consists of an authentic Honeywell Boeing 777 Flight Management System control display unit and associated processing hardware in certified-unserviceable condition, providing aviation training organizations, aerospace research institutions, and serious collectors with direct access to the actual flight deck computing interface that navigated commercial 777 aircraft through every phase of every flight including the legendary long-range ETOPS sectors for which the 777 was specifically designed and certified to operate. The FMC control display unit features the full QWERTY scratchpad keyboard, six line select keys per column, the large format LCD display screen with its characteristic Boeing green-on-black color scheme, and the brightness and mode selector controls all in their original configuration. The CDU housing, bezel, and panel integration frame are intact and in excellent cosmetic condition. The associated FMC processor unit containing Honeywell’s proprietary navigation database processing hardware is included in the as-removed configuration with all interface connector backshells and wiring harness stubs present. Detailed HTA documentation of the FMC system architecture and interface protocols drawn from publicly available Boeing 777 FCOM sections supplements the physical unit for training and research applications.
