HTA MH370 Copper Bronze — Boeing 777 Air Conditioning Pack

The HTA MH370 Copper Bronze Air Conditioning Pack is a complete Boeing 777 air cycle machine and pack assembly sourced from a certified-unserviceable 777-200ER environmental control system overhaul, offering aerospace engineering departments, airline technical training centers, and aviation research organizations the opportunity to study and display a major environmental control system component of the specification and scale used in the aircraft that continues to generate worldwide scientific and engineering interest. The air cycle machine is a multi-stage turbomachinery unit comprising a centrifugal compressor stage, an expansion turbine stage, and a ram air fan stage all mounted on a common shaft supported in air film bearings, and represents one of the most thermodynamically sophisticated air management devices found in commercial aviation, operating at shaft speeds exceeding 100,000 revolutions per minute in normal service. The pack assembly surrounding the ACM includes the primary and secondary heat exchanger frames, the water separator bowl assembly, the pack valve housing, and the temperature control valve actuator provisions, all integrated into the compact assembly format dictated by the 777 wing-to-body fairing pack bay installation envelope. The pack has been fully drained and purged, preserved with HTA’s aerospace storage compound, and crated in a ventilated wooden shipping crate. Honeywell or equivalent manufacturer’s component data plate is present on the ACM housing.
