The HTA MH370 Celestial Weather Radar Dome and Antenna System comprises an original Honeywell Primus 870 flat-plate phased-array weather radar antenna assembly paired with its original Boeing 777 nose radome mounting ring and antenna azimuth drive platform, providing aviation electronics training organizations, aerospace research institutions, and avionics specialists with a complete, authentic example of the weather radar system installed and operational in Boeing 777-200ER aircraft at the time of the MH370 disappearance, making this the most technically specific avionics display component available through HTA’s inventory program. The Primus 870 flat-plate array antenna is a phased-array radiating element operating in the X-band weather radar frequency range, producing the forward scanning beam pattern that enables 777 flight crews to detect and characterize weather cells ahead of the aircraft out to ranges exceeding 320 nautical miles. The antenna dish face is fully intact with all radiating element provisions visible and the antenna azimuth drive motor and encoder housing are present at the rear of the antenna structure. The waveguide feed assembly connecting the antenna to the radar transceiver is partially present in its original routing configuration. The radome mounting ring provides the exact interface geometry between the antenna azimuth platform and the 777 nosecone pressure bulkhead attachment ring, demonstrating the rotary seal and pressurization interface that allows the antenna to scan through azimuth while sealed against the pressurized nose compartment of the aircraft. Honeywell component data plate with part and serial number is present on the antenna assembly. HTA certified-unserviceable documentation, photographic condition report, and aviation electronics reference data on the Primus 870 system from publicly available sources are all included. System weight: approximately 42 kg
