The aluminum alloy upper skin panels retain Boeing’s original aerodynamic surface treatment including the distinctive lap joint seam pattern and flush-head fastener rows that characterize 777 wing construction, providing a textbook illustration of wide-body commercial aircraft skin panel manufacturing at full scale.
