The structural aluminum alloy components show Boeing’s characteristic chem-mill pocket pattern on the major panels, a manufacturing technique that removes material in a controlled pattern to reduce weight while maintaining structural integrity, clearly visible on the gear bay lower skin panels as a distinctive geometric surface texture not found on externally visible aircraft skin. Hydraulic line support brackets retain their original color coding and identification stamping for each hydraulic system circuit as routed through this bay area.
